5S is simply a 2S on one side and a 3S on the other in series.

The One,

Okay so here is my final run down:
Quark Monster Pro 125B (no need for seperate LVC right?)
Hyperion LBA6 Balancer
Hyperion EOS7i Charger
MaxAmps Lipoly 4000mah 3S 11.1V packs w/Hyperion taps

Nice choices. I'm looking at a similar package! Tell us how it works out for you!

With a little luck I'll be buying my new brushless & lipo's in the next week or two.

New User,

How do you like your brushless set-up? Any pro's or con's with it?

BTW, NICE TRUCK!

Welcome to the forums procharged! I see that you have a pretty sweet SM there! You got any pics ? (sorry to hijack newuser).

BL setups here are awsome! Sounds like you will have a great running truck, id reccomend a 10XL or 1950 10T for best performance!

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

Thanks guys. I might have a final setup now.

Thunder Power 1010C Charger (leaves me room to go higher than 5s or 6s packs)
Thunder Power TP-210V Balancer
Quark Monster Pro 125B
Wanderer 10XL

Can someone point me in the direction of some high capacity 2s and 3s packs. Can't find any at Maxamps, Truerc.com has this 15C 14.8V 4S3P 6600mAh at $195 but I want to find the seperate packs like squeeforever advised.

Sylvester,

Thanks for the complimnents. Pics are forthcoming. I just finished polishing the aluminum parts to a mirror finish and will be reassembling it shortly. I'll post pics first chance I get.

and yes, I know maintaining it will be a pain but I've always wanted a polished Supermaxx and I'm finally getting close to having one!

Look under the Custom packs section. They have 3S2P 8000mah packs for $100.

So to connect them to the TP-210V Balancer I get one pack with 4 pin connector and one with a six pin connector or just one with both 4 and 6 pin connectors since I'm gonna wire it in series anyway to act as one pack?

Thanks. I run a 10xl/9920, love it. runs really smooth. But am trying to get a good lipo set up. Don't know much about lipo, so am trying to figure it out. Looking a the 5s in series. like squee suggested. But not sure of mah to go with. I need something that'll give me good run time and speed without burnin up my controller. Also need a lvc, balancer. Need to maek sure that my MRC can charge these things too...A good break down would be great guys. thanks!

Check out the TrueRC 8000mah 3s Packs for $100, and 2s 8000mah for like $70. I run a 3s and 2s in series for a 5 s setup on a E-Revo w/ 9XL and Quark 125. These pack ar awesome for the money. No issues with them at all. I havent seen any other packs that are this decent at the price. I just got a 2nd 3s pack yessterday so I'm gonna try out 6s. Probably more power than necessary, but that kinda the point...:dft012::p

BTW if the TrueRC website says out of stock on the 8000mah packs, call him. I talked to him last week and he was expecting to get more in any day now.

Edit: BTW... I get over 45 Min run time off of the 5s 8000mah TrueRC setup.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
