That's in a Dark Impact with 2s Lipo. The chassis has very limited space for mounting batteries, the 2s pack fits perfectly, and I don't feel like dishing out $120 for a 3s 3200mah 20C pack (Kokam cells).
The system never gets above about 155 deg. F. I do have a fan over the motor, simply because the Dark Impact's design doesn't allow for any cooling air over the motor.

Do you have to turn the car over to put the batteries in? I saw a picture where the bottom came off for your batteries.

Yeah, it's bottom loading for the batteries. It's actually nice to have that, since I don't need to take the body off to change the battery.

Anybody know when Castle is sending out the next bath of speed controls? I emailed them and they said:
I'm not allowed to answer that. You would have to ask the distributor.
We cannot give out confidential information like that.
So I called Tower and asked them and they said they didnt have a set date and it was an uknown arrival.

I doubt it is confidential but maybe they don't set the dates, the distributers do?
Although you can order directly from their site, so no idea!
