Well, nothing much to update at the moment. I have the air esc from China but am too lazy to do anything at the moment. Working on a Jammin' that's been lying around for the past year. I think I'm going to be able to run her this weekend.
As for the savage, I've decided to wait for the Monster to arrive b4 I do any cleaning & fixing & swapping out the motor for a milder unit.
Regards,
Joe Ling

Well, after nearly 3 months at the cleaners, my FLM savage is ready for a little fun this weekend. She's still using the BK9920 but with 2 pcs of 12V fans added now. I have since upgraded to HPi big bore shocks. Have also added a wing. Let's see how she holds up this weekend.

Hi bl-is-future,
It's a Hong Nor high down force wing :
Picked up the wing mounting technique from savage-central.

thanks joe, i just placed and order for my wing now. I got this plate too though, it is made by new era models and it allows for easier mounting of the wing support to the truck. Here is the link if anyone else is interested. http://www.neweramodels.com/item.cgi?part_id=2873

Thanks for the info. I may consider to get one as I'm considering to swap out the original gear box holder bits for the quick change type of the X.

My weekend got rained out & I was stuck indoors. Decided to make good use of the downtime & rejuvenate the savage. I didn't like the her handling when I last ran her in the configuration shown the previous posts using the big bore from HPI. I have got all the parts but was too lazy to do anything :
1) upgrade the savage bulk to the X
2) install the racing suspension
3) install the sbb from nanda racing
4) install sway bars

rear end showing wing, sway bar & racing suspension

shock tower with integrated mountng holes for a wing ! This is an FLM part which I didn't even know existed. Use HB lightning wing mounts.

Since I took the pics, I have installed the rear shocks & I will install the front shocks by today.
