But but Alien your spider diff looks sooo cool. I guess the question posed to me is: Is "sooo cool" worth 50 bucks? lol

Thanks Zack, but I just don't think it's worth the spend... besides, when the body goes on, you can't see it ....

The one I posted is a 6 gear diff. As long as they're shimmed properly, they will last long. I still have to break any 6 spider diff I ever had.

Yes it was... and yes it did... but it was a old used LX one diff... not remotely close to the build quality of the recommended diff...

Okay. I'll order the ofna diff off Ebay. Thanks for the tips guys. It'll be good to get it that cheap. I can't believe how cheap it is. It makes me want to buy two.

Thats right Zippy. I loled at your "sooo cool" Its a storm. I would actually like to have a whole new unit mainly because the storm as far as I know isn't supported and the oil is looking like it is soiled with tiny metal glitter (microscopic gear bits). Its not that its not strong. Its just getting old as in a lot of runtime on it. Good suggestion though. And perhaps one day I'll want Nova on that plastic ofna diff for easy bling. I like your truck BTW.

My cousins from Georgia and I are practicing at a track on Saturday. My truck is getting premium treatment right now. Picture time will come. It should be look sick. Expect this event to take place Thursday night. lol The purple fan will be no more. I should mention snoopmaxx and I are promising each other all out bash vids in the coming days so that should be cool as well.

That is what I did as well. I bought a new 8ight-T diff off ebay for about $20. Then just swapped all the goodies into the Nova Cup. It was cheaper to buy the complete unit than to buy spider gears and the spur (gotta love ebay)... Yes, I like the Bling it adds. But I did happen to break that plastic cup too somehow; and that is what sold me... Looking forward to your bash vid...
Sean

Cool stuff Sean.

I discovered something very "duh" today while working on my truck. The battery lies a good bit lower if I turn it on its side because it is such a tall battery. Will it hurt it with all the cell's edges being on the tray?

Should be fine- lots of guys turn the lipos on edge if they are a little tall or wide to fit the tray. Just make sure they are strapped down properly and pad the tray with foam to remove any slack & stop the lipo sliding back and forth.

Zack, my Neu batt is on edge. I have a custom tray from Mike and then use two velcro straps. You have seen my videos, LOL, my battery does not budge.

Well I didn't clean it up all the way. Its kinda embarrassing and the front skid part of the chassis is bent. It doesn't affect anything but looks. I hit a stump pretty hard. And I still have to shorten some of the wires. The last picture of the servo area is my favorite. How do you like the white Mugen 5 wing(instead of black Mugen 6) and the black fan(instead of Novak purple)? The body isn't secured in the picture but yes I am using velcro, for several months now and I love it. You can be sure I run this truck.

Make sure you notice the sway bars. I still have to finish the rear one.

I really like the First pic in the second post. The Lo-pro picture. Nice!

I like the LST2 sways also. Did you notch the Bulkhead.? I am gonna add some when $ becomes available. I like how you did it though in the shock spot and with the lock collars... Clean!

I was going to do it on the upper arms Like some dude (B-Team Racing) did.

Whats your gearing? and are your diffs standard 13/43?

Oh BTW Your ride is Loooow CG and looks Sooo Cool to me!
