it sure does. It'll show the voltage, amps, mah, how many cells, time, degrees (nimh only) all the goodies. :)

Both the charger and PS have a fan built in. It gets warm, but not HOT.

Fans always there to help both of them.. Newe, do you know where the fan is located in the charger? I can clearly see it on the PS but was wondering where it was in the Charger?
The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

I believe it's towards the middle. Hard to locate on the 989, but it's in there pretty deep i think. I have only heard mine kick in like twice though.

Yea; the charger doesnt get that hot.. if i were to use a lower mah than 8000 than i doubt the fan would kick in, unless it was a hot day ;)

I love the 989. Very user friendly, and most importantly does the job! I charge 4s 8000 and a 2s 8000. It works flawlessly with the LBA10, which is too, the most user-friendly balancer out there!

Very cool. I use my 989 mostly for my 5s (2s2p, 3s2p), but I also have used it for my 4s (2x 2s2p) and my 2s 2100 for my rc18t. I also use it for all my rx packs too.

I agree. But I have two chargers thankfully! I should have waited though. I bought the 989 when it was 169.99! ARG! now it's 140.00! But, it's all worth it to have good stuff....

Oh no, I wish...I also have a Hyperion EOS 7i, which I like very much too, but it would not do my 5s worth spit! It does my 4s with no probs though. :032:

Isnt the 7i rated for 5s? 989 can probably do 8s with no probs.
