So you don't think my truck is geared too low? It's actually violent at a wide open start and tops out quickly like it could possibly use a "taller" gear.

If it runs fast enough for you then it good. If you got the gear to do it with you can try it. Keep and eye on your temps. If they drop or go up. If the drop you did good. I am running about a 20.5 to 1 on a 14 lb emaxx. I have first gear to. Mine does good. I only running a 1800 kv motor.

Peace!

Gearing strongly depends on the diameter of tires ;) but I assume you're speaking about Savages.

Nice RC, BL_Force. I like it!

I'll get some vids when I get my video camera back from being repaired. I got it out this weekend, and it was broken.

LMAO
Serum, I never said naked. It's just Dancin onna table

BL Force, one question. This black thingy on the TF motor plate, right behind the tranny mount, where the motor sits. What's that for? I never ever installed this on my TF. It got in the way of my motorbrace.

It's just a pad that the motor can rests on to help support it when landing jumps. I decided to include it because the twin force motor mount is a little flimsy. One of these days I will get around to fabbing a beefier mount.

I haven't posted much about my truck lately. I've been too busy bashing it. :) My design has proven itself to be very durable. I haven't broken anything to date, and I beat the poop out of it all summer. I bought some new monster gt wheels/tires off ebay Monday. They should be here tomorrow. My truck is geared just a tad low, so the taller tires should work great. I also just received my CNC wheel hexes for ACNCM, and they are very nice. They have an o-ring that retains the pin. I will take some new pics and maybe if it's nice Sunday, I will finally make some vids to post.

I always thought this was a cool project, but there's no way I'd tear apart my Twin just to make my Savage have a better driveline. :D

Not better Dabid, just different.. :)

The savage has got a near bullet proof drivetrain (exept for the 2nd speed) but HPI worked out that problem as well (it just takes so much time ..)

It would be nice to have a vid of your truck BL_force!

Thanks. :) Actually, I managed to find all the parts I needed on ebay really cheap. Now, it seems finding these parts is next to impossible since tower hobbies dropped kyosho. Glad I have a few extras just in case!

Well, as luck would have it....I will have Kyosho stuff available within 1-2 weeks, and have already ordered the twin force battery trays, as I know many folks are looking for them.
