Mike given a lot of people seem to be making the road trip - do you know if it would be possible to get the barn opened on the Sat or perhaps "rent" another "local" track such as DirtRunners?

Seems a shame to only race on Sunday...

Croton-Harmon Amtrak Station looks like the closest to Barnstormers according to Amtraks website. $274 for round trip from MSP and then two nights at the local Holiday inn express $139. Not bad so far. Now i just need to figure out how to get from the station to the hotel and then to barnstormers and back.

If you go for a near Newark arrival you would be close to Lutach and myself.

I'm sure one of us can get you up to the track... We need to work on making this a two day event :)

Well if i did Newark, NJ i would arrive on the 27th at 5:30pm and then be leaving on the 29th at 11:00am. And be staying at this hotel

76 BROOKSIDE AVE.
2 BRYLE PLACE
CHESTER, NY 10918

So if i could get rides back and forth this might work.

I'm about 10 minutes away from EWR. I may go to the Monster Bash, but I have to find someone to watch my daughter. The one person that I do trust to watch my daughter has a pretty crazy schedule. She does birthday party decorations and all the parties are done on Saturday and Sunday.

I looks like it's about $200 to rent a car for a few days and the hotel in Chester is a lot cheaper than getting one i Newark.

So since i am seriously considering making the trek out to NY can someone tell me what this event is like? What are the classes? How long is each heat or main? Any rules, do they rent PT's, etc...? I would be bringing my MP777 to race.

July 26th is the tentative date for this year's annual RC-Monster race. I will make it "official" soon, as well as work on some mfg and magazine support. the earlier date this year should minimize the possibility of rain(last 2 years the weather has been a challenge), so i would expect a pretty large turnout this time around - and electric is growing pretty fast. :)
