very nice truck! how do you like the wing mount? saw them in r/c car action. what kind of angle are they set at? is it enough for it you actually give the truck downforce?

The wing mount is OK, nothing too special.
Its not adjustable and the wing does sit fairly flat, so the down force at low speed will be negligible.
I chose this option as I am a lazy bum, and couldn't be bothered to track down the buggy wing part no.s

as for motor/cells, I am awaiting some enlightenment from Mike,
and yes it is a 7XL, borrowed from the Maxx ;)

well if you ever want a wing to put on it for some good downforce the mugen mbx-5 is the wing most people use.

I figured out a major reason for my truck to be a little slow. The radio i uesd in my electrics for many years is not working right. I rebiult a motor for my t4 and it wouldn't run beyond a crawl, but one time i turned off my radio before my truck(not wise) and it took off at full speed till i turned my radio on and it stopped(luckily no damage). So i swapped my JR XS3 in and it came to life. I then changed the reciever in my revo G2R and nearly doubled the speed and power with no adjustments. going to try it tomorrow or tuesday at the track it should be much better than before. If its this fun now i can't imagine how much more fun it will be when i get a BL system in it

well the p3 and lt springs are almost enough, there is only one other heavier spring set to goto, and 90 weight silicon, it does not dig in on the little jumps like b4, but you still see it pound the dirt, I am still not taking our big jump yet

Now that i fixed the radio problem i took it to the track today to see if it went any faster, sure enough it didand with the re-do of the jumps on the track i can see that it doesn't nose over like it did. I ran it against a nitro revo a couple of weeks ago and as mike has said, the G2R can outcorner the revo easily.

My current setup is as follows:

Diffs F/R 50,000wt OFNA oil

Rockers P1 Pushrod hole: Middle

Shocks:
Front 30wt oil stock pistons silver springs
Rear 30wt oil stock pistons blue springs

motor/esc Titans EVX gearing: 18/64

stock revo tires and wheels

Future mods will include 40wt oil 23mm wabash and bowtie comboand a diet (rtr 12 pounds)

Got to run my G2R again today. it has rained almost every other day here and i never run any r/c's for two days after it rains, just to be safe.

I made some changes to the setup and they proved good.

First i moved the rear shocks to the front and used the silver front springs with 40wt shock oil and set the threaded shock mount to just tensioning the spring with no pressure.

For the rear i took the front shocks and replaced the piston with the extra piston(#3)and filled with 40wt oil and blue spring set to just tension the spring without pressure.

no changes other than described and the truck is in better control and smoother in the bumps.

Don't have a video camera yet but if not sooner you'll be able to see it in action at the get-together(besides when i get a camera, I still need to figure out how to use the movie maker)
