Post OFNA GTP 2-speed ? - 03.18.2008, 09:58 AM

Has anyone put a 2-speed diff in their OFNA GTP ON-Road 1/8th car? I'm currently using a 7L w/ 3S-8000 20T mod1 pinion and getting 53mph and I want to go faster..

Any ideas about the 2-speed?

i'm running a yusa onroad rally thats using a 2speed. its geared for 109mph. has no problem pulling the gears. i have to ease on the throtle to keep traction, but i'm using 12s1p a123, and a mega acn 22/45/2. haven't had a chance to see how the amps respond at shift or anything, but its cool to hear it do it.

Thanks to Mike@ RC-Monster I've got my mule GTP together. I've installed an OFNA Metal Gear 2-speed with a custom 2 gear pinion, powered by a 1515-1d on 4S-8000 with a CCBEC. Also, using mechanical brakes. I'll be posting pics and vids soon but so far I've only been able to run it at 1/3 throttle. Have you ever seen a GTP wheelie, mine does! Wow, I love the Neu Motor...

I too am running the two speed. The only thing you have to watch out for when selecting pinions is to make sure that the mesh is ok for whatever spurs you use. This vehicle is the reason why I made this page...

Man, if you can wheelie I'm gonna flip mine over backwards!

Let's see some pictures of your setup! I'm very intrigued...
