Neu's come with a flat shaft right?? -

I sure hope so! One thing I DO NOT feel comfortable doing is grinding the shaft flat on my $265 motor? I got a 1515 1Y coming, though I may cancel and get the tekno motor if they can come out soon enough.
If you grind a flat spot, keep debris from getting into the motor. One good way is to use a good strong ziplock bag, etc.... put the motor in it and poke the shaft out though the bag. Then maybe even tape around the shaft to make sure it's sealed good. Grind it with a cutting wheel or sanding drum and take your time.

the new ones come with a flat half way down the shaft, as long as you place the pinion on the shaft with the setscrew side closest to the motor you will be fine
The flat spot on the new neu's didn't match up for me. i had to make my own on the other side. I like using a thin flat file (jewelers) better than the dremel. More control I think.
