Lipo C Question - 05.17.2008, 11:42 PM

If running a Neu 1512 2.5D which is rated at 78A, would running a 5000mah 25C (125A) be the same as running a 5000mah 20C (100A) because the motor is 78A?

You will get more punch out of the 25C packs, they should hold voltage under load better. This is assuming that both packs are rated correctly.

You will probably see some pretty big bursts from the motor though, it will be more than 78a.

Thanks for the reply, do the bursts vary on what gearing you are using?

Yes, and with vehicle weight, voltage, wire lengths, and battery temperature. Probably other factors I forgot.

What packs are we talking about? it's not that a 25C puts out more voltage than a 15C pack.
