medusa 36 60 2000kv in e-revo 50mph? - 05.19.2008, 07:09 PM

ok i was wondering if the 36 60mm 2000kv medusa would push a e-revo 3.3 with 5s1p 5000mah zippy h 37000 rpm
or should i get 6s1p 44400 rpm
i want 50mph can i i do this i have looked at the speed calc but dont know the variables trans tire size which is all stock locked into 2nd gear so are tires. should i go to a feiago xl
im used to a 6.5 hv e-maxx which seems to me to have gobs of torque with 14 gp 3300's but 30-35mph ish

ps i like wheels "not all the time but at least while rolling 20mph"

also i bash so i want trouble free gearing no overheating
thank you thank you
jeff

you do have a pretty big pinion I would go with a 18 tooth , your tires will balloon that would be ok for your on street speed runs but if you want to off road at all gear it for 40-45 mph, also I would stick with the 5s

The medusa will outperform the novak. As long as the 3700 lipos are 25c they should be ok. You will find that 50mph is a bit much, gear for 45mph and you will be happy. I do not see any issues with your setup, just make sure you have a few pinions and spurs to get the gearing just right.

50mph is quite a top speed for any MT... if however that is your goal, the 36-60-2000v2 medusa will do it on 6s...
5s and 40ish mph would be my personal pick; however, it`s your call in this case of course...

i don`t believe that the 75mm novak has more [or even equal] torque to a good 4pole 60mm motor...

medusa rated 60000 RPM and in this setup you just push (Total Motor Speed: 37000 RPM)

2000 KV motor best for 5s but you can run 6s too
