air esc with an elektri-clutch take care of soft start? - 05.28.2008, 09:33 PM

I bought a turnigy plush 100a just to tinker with out of curiosity. I played with it some in my turmoil. Seems if you do the initial start up programming, then trim the controller to where the car barely rolls it seems to pretty much have instant throttle response. I was wondering if you could use an elektri-clutch. If you set it up to where the motor turns slow enough to not engage the clutch would it sit still, but still have good throttle response.

sounds like a pretty good idea. it would sacrifice a little bit of runtime but I don't see why it wouldn't work but then again I don't have any experience with the soft start to know how it would work.
