Vantage Racing Tires Good or Bad? - 06.23.2008, 10:49 AM

Are these any good? Is the band a gimmick or does it help prevent balloning? How long do they hold up?

I saw the Vantage M/T tire and I thought it was just a pretty stripe down the center of the tire, do they claim it helps with balloning...I just recently pulled the tires off the rims on my Revo and theywere one that I eas thinking about, than I saw the Badland tire and heard they balloon, I finally bought some Proline LPR Crimefighters, they are a low profile style that has less side wall flex...here is a link

Someone in another forum answered about the balloning question. Apparently the band doesn't prevent balloning but allows you to see if the tire rotates true.

rotate true meaning you can see if the red line is spinning from left to right...sorta like a squiggly line? say its not spinning true, dont they come preglued...what can you do to fix it?
