Triniy NOW assistance please - 07.20.2008, 12:43 PM

So.. I had some issues with the stock motor in my Trinity NOW 1/16 truggy (this thing tends to have a few drivetrain issues; once they're all sorted out and it's running, it runs really well though!). So anyways, I decided to get another motor to replace the feigao that runs it now box stock (the thing gets far too hot; I think I temped it at 180F after only about 5 or 10 minutes).

Now, I just noticed that my steering servo is totally gone. I think it may be the gearset, but being that Trinity wants to make my life a pain in the butt, I have NO idea what the specs are on this stupid little servo.

Is there anyone out there that has any idea as to what servo is either A) a direct drop in on this chassis, or B) can I modify the chassis to accept a standard 1/10 scale servo?

Thanks in advance guys. I want to take this rig back to college with me, since it's easy to replace gears in the diffs when they do go out. Plus, I want to see how this new motor runs. I think it's about 200kv less, and has a finned can. Soooo....hopefully it'll hold up better. I'm willing to settle for 160F after a full run! UGH...

Not sure on what size it is, you may have to measure it up. Trinity/Amain/Tower don't have the size listed on their sie

Yeah, I know no one has the measurements (I've emailed Trinity a few times about various things, and out of say maybe 3 or 4 emails, I got ONE reply, and that was for the faulty motor; no reply about the servo or diffs giving out under stock power....d'oh!).:( I was hoping someone on here would have one of these buggers, since it's a brushless "baby truggy".

I'm also not going to pay 25 bucks for a crappy servo that I know is not up to the task of turning the wheels in this thing....soooooo... I may just hack a standard size servo in there.

Thanks for the reply though!

go ahead a put a standard servo in there it fits (have seen a picture), as for the motor you could try going with a 300 size brushless like they use in the vendettas, the one that comes with it is like an L can 180 would be much better suited in a lil light rc18 but the trinity is pushing the envelope in weight. gearing down a couple teeth on the pinion does help. if you dont wanna blow anymore money at the moment.
