got all the 808 towers, big bores, and what not on there, got a new jconcepts body and wing, new advantage racing spoke wheels with M3 crimefighters all around, new custom battery tray (by the monster), and im using my new 5s 4000 protek lipos ( i got the HOOKUP on these batteries and im impressed so far)
i have only broken in and ran one of them and it has about 10 full cycles and 5 half cycles for break in, the other is still on the breakin cycles. so far im impressed, big thing about these batteries is there only rated for 80amps continous and 120amp burst, not the biggest numbers there so you gotta run a lower kv motor and i dont think i would dare to put it in a truggy but for a buggy i think theyre perfect size only 40x42x134 so it easily fit under the body and leaves alot of room left on the chassis.
i dont really wanna tell everyone "these are great go buy them" and people put them with an amp hungry motor in an mt or truggy and then blow them up i dont think they can handle much more than my setup you see here, now they dont even break 110 temp wise but im not gonna be the one to chance it, im telling everyone at our track interested in them that they will need to run a 1700kv motor (or lower) and a buggy if they wanna use these packs. and i belive alot are going to do it becasue our hobby shop keeps these and everything we need but conversions instock....
Looks nice... I bought a couple of these packs for my Hyper ST Pro 1515 2.5D - They seemed to do OK - No significant signs of stress and were very cheap.
I'm now moving to twin packs so will only occasionally run them due to weight but 5s 8000 @ 20c should be fine.
5s 8000 would be hot stuff in a big ole savage or something that weight really didnt matter, but really if you think about it 2 of these weigh the same as 2 7cell nimh packs.....
ya you almost gotta be a dealer to get them, i think impakt sells them on an order by order basis but we pay way less than what they charge, just over the counter at our local hobby shop. id check at any local shop that is a protek dealer and have them look it up and order it through them.
WOW... Looking GOOD ROSS.. got any Video yet (??).. how does it handle with the 808 shocks all the way around (?).. Are you still spanking the Nitro's ??.

im running 50wt front oil with 1.3 pistons silver rear springs up front, in the back im using 1.4 pistons and 45 wt oil with the greenish blue rear springs (im partly color blind)
front is setup arms level, rear is bones level
for diff oils im running 7000 front, 3000 rear, and 20,000 center
there is ton more i changed to the setup but it drives good, and doesnt get upset easily. i actually set it up for slower steering because other wise i tended to over drive mid corner and spin out.
im getting ALMOST 20 mins of runtime out of these batts and im geared for 45mph, this thing MOVES. ill see if i can get a video this weekend maybe ive been meaning to for a long time just havent had the chance.
