will a finned nue 1509 fit on a crt.5 with the rc monster mount?

I got the answer for ya. Gimme one sec. I thought about this too when ordering mine. Getting the calipers out.

Edit, yes it should fit. But the fins will be VERY close to the chassis.

nope it was a great answer and the one i was hopeing for, im just a noob

i searched and i couldnt find anyone useing a 1509 in a 1/8 buggy, could someone post some links, i am leaning towards a low mah 5cell set up

In answer to the original question - yes. The finned can will fit in a crt.5.

It is a little snug as far as ease of movement goes, but it will fit with just a touch of clearance beneath motor before the chassis.

well i got a good deal on a Nue 1512 2df so im going to stick that in the crt.5 untill the 1509 that i want comes in stock.

I've used this same 1509/2Y/F in my crt.5 on 5S as well and it's a great motor for the application. You can gear to ~40mph and it'll run super smooth with the option to easily gear up to ~50mph for some high speed insanity.

Even on a MM with punch at 40-50% it'll near rip the tires off the wheels if you want it to.
