Did I get lucky again? - 10.29.2008, 11:49 PM

I'm not sure if it was actually in stock when I ordered or not, but Neu had a 1515/2D/F on their specials page for $85 tonight. It wasn't there earlier today, so I'm hoping it was actually in stock when I ordered. I wasn't going to chance it being gone by waiting until tomorrow to check stock. Heck, even if it is gone, I'll just get them to apply that $ to another battery pack. I figured it was worth a shot paying for it and seeing what happens...unless some scoundrel on here already beat me to it.

I was looking at it this morning thinking I should buy this even if I don't have anything to put it in... at least someone on here will be getting it.

LOL, no need to be sorry. At least it was someone on this forum that got it. I knew by purchasing it without calling that I risked it not being in stock. It was a chance I was willing to take. I'll just call them and apply that $ to another battery pack. Besides, if I had gotten it, I would have had to buy another vehicle to put it in.

If I already had another 1/8th scale to put the motor in, I probably would. I'll definitely think about it though. I'm not sure I need to go 50mph with my Slash anyhow.

well I think you got it skell....my order got messed up big time

this is what happen ...strange as it may seem

when I ordered the motor from neu I used the place item in shopping cart button and payed for it with paypal...this was three days ago....so today I find out when I paid with paypal off the Neu website...somehow the money went to Truerc....yes you heard me right......I couldn't believe it...Neu never got my order so they sold it to the next buyer which I think is prolly Skellyo...I called truerc and Dan told me they are refunding my money...he also told me to clear my cache and temp files to maybe solve this problem....very very strange

anyway the good news is steve neu said he would build me any motor I wanted for half price because of the dilemma

I actually had a similar problem almost happen when I went to place an order with them recently. I added the item to my cart in paypal and the name came up something other than Neutronics. I had to clear my cart and add the items again.

As for the motor, I called them the other day fully expecting to have to change it to a battery pack instead of the motor. I was on hold with her for 5 minutes when she came back and said that someone had called about the motor, but she couldn't find an order for it. Your Paypal situation explains why she couldn't find it.

The really cool part is that Neu is going to hook you up for an error that wasn't theirs. That's just impressive. Most companies would tell you to go pound sand.
