I have the opportunity to build a fairly large track (if you consider ~100ft x ~50ft large) at my Stepdad's MX/Camping area :) . I was just thinking of a good layout (~1/8 buggy sized) that would fit the space. I'd like to see other people's thought up layouts to give me some ideas, here's my layout, don't worry about all the sharp edges, those would be rounded, of course. :L:
That setup looks good! I can see a few spots where turn marshalls would go, like the empty space between the straightaway and the small bumps, the big square under the table, the right corner above the rhythm section, left corner below the ditch turn, and the lower right corner of the track.
SH Z-Car, Custom Crawler, 8s Savage, 12s XTM XLB 1/7 buggy, 4wd 4-link rear/IFS Pro4 truck, Custom Hyper 10 Short Course, Belt-Drive Mammoth ST 1/8 truggy, 4s 17.5 MM Pro HPI Blitz
I notice that part of the track says "ditch"; be careful how deep you go since it will probably pool water when it rains. We had a really fun 3 ft deep pit in our outdoor track once...once. :)
Always consider drainage, especially if it rains regularly in your area. It can take hours to repair/prepare an outdoor track after it rains, even if it's set up well for drainage.
Good luck!

Electronics run on smoke... if you let the smoke out, they stop working.
It's pretty much desert-like conditions with a low amount of rainfall, although when watering the track drainage might be an issue, I'm sure I'll figure something out.
