3S LiPo for my Blaze/Vendetta - 11.26.2008, 01:07 PM

Hi,

I'm searching a 3S LiPo for my Blaze/Vendetta, I'm running a Align 430L 3550KV brushless motor, this motor pulls 28A Continious, and I have a mamba-25 ESC.

So does somebody know a good LiPo for this setup? It has to be a 3S LiPo..

I saw this one: http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/rc-bat...?cPath=52_1275
Do you guys think this LiPo is good enough for my setup?

Thanks,

Patrick

ive read the rhino lipos are the same as zippys just wrapped in a different brand shrinkwrap. if thats true, they use jst-xh balance tabs.

i own one of these lipos. i think they perform fairly well.

the biggest issue with 3S in detta is their height as the battery holder can accommodate batteries only up to about 22mm tall, so its more suited for 2S

but these should fit ok

Rhino is just another Zippy brand. the were supposted to be the lowest grade, but they seem to be holding quite nice.

they indeed use JST-XH tap

I do have rhino 2S 1050 and 1250 for testing as they were so cheap, but normally I use Zippy-H 2S 1450mah and now lately Trakpower 2S 1345mah

Do you think 20C is enough? Or should I buy the Rhino 1050mAh 30C? (This one: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...0C_Lipoly_Pack )

The Site from Align says: Max continuous current: 28A
So the motor will pul like 28A continious, is 20C then enough?

20c should do it, but if it helps ease your mind...i guess it cant hurt. The one that blueb8llz linked, I used for awhile with all different set-ups. Never heated up even a bit.

I used a "bottom" line.
