I was running a novak HV 6.5 pro system in my E-Revo, when it suddenly acted like it had a really strong drag brake. first thing I thought was that there was binding in the drivetrain, so I rolled the revo, and it was hard to push.I pulled the motor, and it rolled smoothly. When I throttle the motor outside of the vehicle, it barely revs up, and acts like it is binding somewhere. It gets hot REALLY fast, then smells bad. When it does this, I make sure not to let it get above 140.When it was in the vehicle, and running fine, the temps were 110-115F. What happened? Novak CS is closed until after Christmas. PLEASE HELP ME!
Sounds like you may have thrown the magnet off the shaft, cooked some bearings, or demagged the motor, or maybe some shorted windings. Open up the motor buy removing the front end bell, and extract the rotor to inspect it & the inside of the motor for damage- if you arent confident, then dont bother, just send it back to novak when they get back from their xmass piss-up party
