8ight 1.0 and 2.0 compatability - 06.05.2009, 02:05 AM

are all of the parts between the 1.0 and 2.0 compatable except the chassis and rear center driveshaft?

i know the 2.0 has stronger parts, (like the cvds) but i just wanna make sure i can swap betweeen the 2 if need be.

i just wanna make sure everything else is compatable so i can upgrade everything else later or even switch between parts?

any help is appreciated.

I know some people slowly upgrade their 1.0's with 2.0 parts a lot. The must be inerchangeable like you said except for the chassis and rear center shaft.

There are many changes beween the two, I suggest to download both manuals to be sure on each part's compatibility.

I know you are talking buggy, but I will mention that that are difference in the shock/shock towers for the truggy 2.0.....
The 2.0Ts (truggy) front shocks are the 1.0s rear shocks, the 2.0Ts rear shocks are new (and about 10mm longer).
I just wanted to make sure that is known, so if someone is buying parts off ebay they do not but 2.0T rear shocks for the 2.0 buggy, or 1.0 B or T.

FYI.....i've posted this question in a number of different forums and apparently there many differences between the 1.0 and the 2.0, but all are interchangeable except the chassis, center rear drive shaft and the rear hinge pins which people are drilling out to make fit. many are also saying the new 2.0 center drive shaft is still short enough to work on the 1.0 because it's only 2mm difference in length.

They is a guy running a 8ight 1.5 buggy at my track. He is running a 2.0 length CF chassis with the 1.0 rear center driveshaft. It works, but on a hard jump and landing, tit will pop out the CD output yoke.
