Parameters for MGM Esc+Feigao - 03.04.2006, 07:31 AM

Hi all,

I just purchased an MGM Compro TMM8012-3 for use with a Feigao 9L.
I use LiPO 4S.

From your experience, what is the more appropriate value for the 'Timing' parameter ?

Thanks.

A+

Welcome to RC-Monster!

I personally keep the timing low, usually at 5 degrees. You can experiment around and see what you like most.

Just to let you know, the MGM Compro 8012 (cube design?) may not be able to handle the amps that the 9L can pull with 4s Lipo. In my 1/8 electric buggy, I run a 9L with 4s Lipo, along with a MGM Compro 12012 (the heatshrink version without heatsinks), and it gets up to about 140 degrees F from a normal run.

Thank you for your response.

9L claim 68A, so I decided to test it with TMM8012.
I choosed the "cube design" for better cooling (with a dedicated fan in front).

Further test will say if it works or not

I've recorded spikes over 100amps with my 9L. The 68amp rating on this motor doesn't really mean anything, it's just a number. Good luck anyways!
