Wiring photos for 8ight with RCM battery Tray - 09.24.2010, 09:50 AM

Hey everyone, I've got a Losi 8ight with an RCM battery tray and after trying a few different ways, I still don't like how my ESC wiring is run. I'd like to see some pictures of how others using the same tray have wired it up. Thanks.

Which wires? On my Muggy with the RCM tray, I dremmeled a slot lengthwise on the bottom side of the tray, and ran the wire to the reciever up it. The motor wires go up over the rear chassis brace to the motor.....can't give you any pics cause the truck is at my in laws house.

I run my rx wire beside the tray(towards the mudguard) then through the battery tray slot on the underside of the tray, then ziptied to the front foot of the front chassis brace, into the battery tray.

BB, I have mine set up the way you do, I was bummed though because I had to use an extension since my RX8 didn't have enough wire. I think I'm going to ask Tekin to put 3 extra inches of wire if they can when I send them in for the case modification. I liked it but was curious if anyone else had come up with a "better" way. I also put it under the front chassis brace so that it would stay away from the center drive. I'll be shaking it out tonight and see how it does. I do know that it looks clean. I ended up taping the wire to the underside of the tray and if I like it will probably add a little more tape to help secure it.
