Amain has it up with video...

It looks good and if the people that made it stuck to their philosophy and goal of making a no compromise buggy, the thing should be awesome.

It's almost identical to the losi except for the radio tray

I dig it too, looks fast just sitting there.....I don't think there can be to many good choices for buggies!

Cool buggy, but not digging the short arms. Their is a reason why the manufactures went to longer arms on both truggies and buggies. Better stability and better rough track handling.

I've got a pleasure to be with JQ in Germany with two The Test cars. Also I've driven it. All I can say is, that I love The Idea.. and The Marketing.. and The everything :)
also, JQ is nice guy and he knows what he is doing so The Car got my symphaties. However I am not going to buy new buggy just for symphaties and there is no way that it will be supported with parts anywhere soon here. So I am not going for it.

however I do like few nice ideas (like brake linkage) that it's got.

THE Car looks awesome. Today they announced JQ was going to be spending the entire month of January out in SoCal so he can support the early adopters of his creation - that is some serious customer support. In any case I did email them a few months ago and got a reply directly from the man himself about the possibility of them doing an electric version. His response was perfectly cordial but in short he said that they had their hands full trying to get the nitro out the door and he couldn't really say if they would do an electric or not. I'm sure our fearless leader RC Monster Mike will come up with a conversion if there is enough interest. Personally I'm unsure what I'm racing next year, I'm torn between home made conversions of THE Car, the Durango DNX408 or a purpose build XRAY 808e. I know that I won't be running my Losi 8 Buggy 2.0 next year. It's time to retire that ride. I also like the DEX408 but I'm betting that thing is vaporware until summer at the earliest. I need to hit the dirt come spring.

I was in contact with Mike a few weeks ago regarding making a conversion or at least a mount for The Car.
He was positive about the idea and it all comes down to interest in the market, and that he can get hold of a kit to do the measurements.

I am a bit far away in Norway with my two The Car's but I am pretty sure that someone closer would like to help him out.

So chime in here to show your interest :)

Price comparison - 01.25.2011, 07:29 PM

WOW in comparison you guys in the UK region are paying way more for it. $520 in the USA and 550 pounds in the UK. Considering the exchange rate that equals about $800 USA. Sorry to hear that. Like any new R/C vehicle they need to do some active testing and show it off to the masses so we can see just what it can do and how it compares to others already out there.

SUPERMAXX YOUR LIFE.

I have "The Car" coming in a couple weeks to make a conversion for it. I would consider converting the Durango, too - a converted nitro will be a bit different than the dnx and may be a decent option for those not wanting to live with the battery limitations(The converted 808 is better than the Xray 808e IMO as well). :)
