Castle Creations 8S Combo estimated price? - 12.06.2010, 06:29 AM

I was wondering what the estimated price on the 8S combo (ESC + Motor) would be. I'm guessing that they are going to release a couple of combos, IE; Buggy combo (Higher KV motor.) and Monster Combo (Lower KV motor.), but what do you think the price will be?

The motor is supposed to be a 2028 CC/Neu, but what does that equal? A 2230? If so, that motor costs around 650$. So it will cost atleast 1000$?

IIRC The combo was supposed to have a street price in the low/mid $5's. There is only 1 combo currently I believe. Its a 2028 - 2" in diam 2.8" long - 750KV motor - 8S MMM-XL etc.

They may bundle a lot with the Baja conversion kits though which would drive the prices a little higher...

That's a pretty incredible price IMO. What motor is the 2028 equivelant to? And is there any release date yet? I've yet to find any info except some teasers and videos.

ESC is already listed on tower - Don't think it will be long but motors MAY be pending the Baja conversion kit...

I was planning on buying a 1/5 scale motor, and was thinking about buying the 2230. Seems to be the most powerful at a reasonable price. Do you think the price will drop after the 1/5 CC comes out? Should I wait? I'll be using the MMMXL ESC anyways so..

And one more thing, do you know where I can get dimensions for the 2230?

Not bad at all really, given how much a seriously tuned & upgraded gas engine can cost + constantly buying gas for it.

You get the specs yet Doo? And does anyone know what size the 2028 motor is? Or what kind of Neu it equals?
