FLM Savage "Punisher" - 04.03.2011, 10:50 AM

I didn't take build pics as I went along. Just finally got around to taking pics of the truck finished. It was alot of fun piecing it together and getting it done. I have a few little things I want to finish up but otherwise it's ready to go.

FLM shock towers
FLM LST2 Shock kit
LST2 Shocks
RPM upper and lower arms
Integy Alunimun rear hub carriers
MMM
Castle 1717 30/52 with bulletproof diff's (45mph)
NEU 4100mah 5s pack
Pro-Line 40 series Big Joes on Tech 5 wheels
HiTec 7955 servo

Me likey...nicely done. Question though, any reason you did not run esc wire along frame rail to avoid going that close to the pinion gear?

It wasn't quite long enough, then an extension would have been too long. It's further away than it looks in the pic and it's not moving so it should be good. I don't even think this thing will see any insane bashing anyway, looks too good IMHO.

I bet that's a great combo. My 1717 is too nutty on 6s and a little boring on 4s. I'd like to see a video with the 5s pack.

I'm also running a 22/49. I'm curious to see the 30/52.

I don't have a video camera (cause I spend all my money on rc) but I will put it through it's paces soon and report back. Mainly did that gearing to but room for the battery, I think it will run pretty well though.

Thanks guy's. Ran it a little the other day, slipper nut was loose about 1/4 pack through, that's with blue loctite. Think I'll pick up some red. Very fun to squeeze the throttle on this thing. It will wheelie at any speed, so I have to be super gentle with it. I honestly don't see why the 1717 couldn't be used in a Baja conversion, the motor is a beast.
