Advice - Setting up IceHV 160 via castle link. - 05.14.2011, 06:42 AM

HI EVERYONE

Im called on people who have used the Phoenix Ice HV 160 on their trucks.

Bare in mind, mine is weighing 19lbs fully loaded...

I need help with setting up, so i do not do it incorrectly and blow something...

So i need help with the following sections

Throttle
What vehicle do i set it to? Airplane?heli?Control Line?
and what following settings after vehicle type is chosen... I wouldnt mind a very brief explaination as to why as well

Brake
I thought this esc didnt have braking... obviously i have mech brakes, and im sure the braking system is for something else... but would this be needed for my mech brake setup?

Cutoffs
I have set my cutoffs at 3.3v and set it to soft cut off
My current limiting is set to normal at 60 amps. IS THIS OK?

Motor
Timing - should i set this to low? or leave it at normal?
PWM Rate - What is this? and what mode should it be?

Logging
When logging, do you have all the boxes ticked? and how many samples a second do you take?

Software
Im running the latest software at the moment, but is there an older one which is more ideal?

I know if i set something wrong, like setting the motor timing high on an MMM, you can potentially work the esc harder and blow it... so i really need help with this and a bit of advice and explaining on some of the settings would be appreciated.

THANKS A LOT

Josh
