Do the adapter require any special rims? I have alot of wheels, standard maxx stuff but with my new set up, Thanks to Mike and this forum , I am ripping up
wheels & tires. I have BK12020 & Wand 8xl. Drive train is beefed up. I am however very happy w/ the performance of this set up. This is my first post.
And yes, you need 23 mm rimms with these adaptors.
They do use the standard 14mm hex on the inside, but on the wheelside they are 23mm. I like the Daces over the prolines, the daces are machined throughout and the proline are from relative cheap aluminum. and a nice feature is that the daces use a 22mm wrench instead of the weird size 23mm of the proline.
sorry, i meant proline wheels only, forgot to mention dace adapters. thanks for covering my back sylvester. proline adapters usually cause all kinds of problems and require shims. daces are the only way to go.
The dace are alot better in my view to. I have the metal hexes behind them with no problems yet. I think the plastic would round off and be back with the same problems. The proline has a bad habbit of the pin cutting into the soft aluminum.
Peace!

Well you need a 22mm socket.... I know people say a 23mm is pretty uncommon but I have several and I think if you can find a 22 its pretty easy to find a 23. BTW, why on earth would you buy the Proline wrench? 23mm socket and a 3/8th rachet is the way to go. Its like 1/3 the price to...
Yea;) The pro-line wrench/ 23mm adaptors are junk. Some people like them, some people dont. Even if you find that socket, you still have the pro-line adaptors, so either way its better off getting dace:p
The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

Yea, Im thinking of selling both my sets to get the Dace. They go for like $25 used on ebay... For the life of me, I cant figure out the logic behind those people who bid those up so high...I've seen Dace go for $55 plus shipping for used....There only $48 here....
I sorta like beadlocks. I have been running Maximizer X75 offset w/ a New Era
Cen 46 conversion kit. After finding this website I built my RC monster inspired emaxx, Only then did I start really having wheel problems, I like speed runs. Does any one use foam tires? I saw some on IMEX website, but I am suspect of the durability the wheels. I use foam tires w/ my rc10gt. I like the traction and they are balanced compared to the road rage/rpm tire&wheel combo I have been breaking. Thanks guys for all your help.
The foams dont really hook up so I've heard. If I were you, I would go for something like 40 series roadrages, with the Dace adapters and some Commando rims if you like the beadlocks or the Cheyenne if you dont want the beadlocks.
