HPI's truck offerings, where do they all fit?

So i see we have the following:

The Savage Flux
Savage Flux 2350
Bullet MT Flux
Savage XS

So as I see it they line up as follows:

Savage Flux and Flux 2350 to compete against E-Revo/E-Maxx Brushless

Bullet MT Flux against Stampede 4WD

Savage XS against Mini Revo

I am just trying to figure out how they all size up against everything else.

I am very interested in the Bullet MT, it looks pretty nice.

the flux is way more monster higher ground clearance and tougher
e-revo is more truggy style and a little more fragile
new flux trophy truggy is closer to e-revo

hpi e-savage and brushed e-maxx are very similar
modified brushless e-savage and brushless e-maxx are close too

bullet seems to be fairly rare does anyone own one ?
been out in europe for a while now

sizing is way off on lots of rcs seems to be no standard
the e-revo is labelled 1/10? but closer to 1/8?

the e-savage is labelled 1/10 but the sport(no batterys included ) is 1/8 ha

savage flux xs still looks like 1/10 1/12 not a 1/16

what we would really really like from hpi is blitz 4wd flux waterproof
that would be awesome

Thanks Ross, was curious on that one. Would you consider it a better/stronger platform than the Stampede 4x4?

I have just been looking for something in that range. I had kind of settled on the stampede but after looking over the bullet MT was up in the air.

I just want a fun little 4WD basher with a little speed. I have no desire to go back to 8th scale monsters at this point.

My friend had endless troubles with his Bullet ST. More specifically the diff outdrives and dogbones. Wearing out and twisting like pretzels. That was in a nitro version too so I am guessing (well I am not really) that the brushless would be even harsher on them. Shame as I really like the looks of it and like Tex was looking for a fun little 1/10th monster.

Was also thinking of the Savage XS but it seems to have a few little quirks too so I might wait on that and see if HPI irons them out. For now I think I might just get a 4x4 Stampy and stick a better brushless setup in it (MMM/2650kv combo). Think it would be better way to go as the Slash 4x4 (virtually the same car with a longer chassis) has such a huge aftermarket following.

I had a few of the ls10 trucks, they were ok. I would say an 1/8 buggy is about the same size and ALOT more durable.

I also have a pede 4x4, and it is crap if you plan to run any power thru it. The stock driveshafts are weak as limp d***s. So plan on buying the tekno cvd setups fro the front and rear, or making your own, as I am doing.

Was already warned about the driveshafts but which Traxxas model has beefy driveshafts anyway? NONE! I think with Tekno CVDs and a better brushless system it should hold up ok.

Did the above little setup for a friend with a Slash 4x4 and that is one fun little car to play with. So far no breakages apart from toasting his slipper in first two seconds of running. Even the driveshafts are holding together but they would have a much easier time with the smaller SC wheels. So anyway kind of what I have planned for the Stampede.

Tekno would be a definite if I get the Stampede. I know how well traxxas shafts hold up.........

No prob, the ls10 was cool, but it just did not work out very well for me. I like to bash and that truck just could not keep up. And 1/8 buggy (with a sc lid) is much more fun, and you have a better selection of wheel and tires, plus nothing breaks.

I am making my own mip driveshaft setup for the pede 4x4, had to weld up longer shafts, but this is 1/8 sized stuff, much more stout than the teckno stuff.
