Newbie....With a few questions.... - 06.12.2006, 01:58 PM

I am new to the forum but I have been reading all of the awesome E-Revo threads on here lately. Right now I have a 2.5 Revo that I have been frustrated with for quite some time. I am constantly having to tune it because of the drastic weather change in Texas on a regular basis, not too mention fouling out glow plugs, making a really big mess with the fuel and etc. I have lately thought about switching it over to a brushless setup mainly for the ease of use, cleanliness, etc. The plan is to get the following first:

The GorillaMaxx G2R Chassis Kit Conversion
The GorillaMaxx G1 Single Speed Conversion
The GorillaMaxx G3 Motor Mount
E-Maxx Tranny
4 - GP 3900 6 cell Battery Packs (To start off with)

With that said, I am not looking for a wheelie machine but just something fun that is decently quick and fun to bash with, hopefully with some decent run times. I am going to use my Airtronics MX3 Radio Gear for the project so that I can have my E-Rustler and E-Revo on the same Radio. The questions that I have are:

Which Brushless would you guys suggest for this?
What gearing setup would you suggest?
What Steering Servo would you suggest?
I only need one servo correct?
Where would the Radio Receiver and the ESC mount on the GorillaMaxx Conversion Chassis?

I am just trying to get all of my questions figured out before I start ordering parts to start my conversion, so please any help that you could give me I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Lee
