60 amp cont. discharge enough for Lehner 1950/8 + 125B? - 07.12.2006, 05:01 PM

Austin Else has assured me that 2 x 3S2P 6000mah packs is more than safe for operation in my savage. So I went ahead and bought it today (along with lehner 1950/8 from here).

Does anyone think that these batts might get hot because of their 60 amp max cont. draw rating?

This is not cheap. I don't want to make a painful decision.

As far as I know, you wont be facing any problem, especially when you're using a huge motor with moderate turns like the 1950/8. You have to keep an eye on the gearing and temp, though.

Nice to meet you!

You shouldn't have any problem at all.

Your biggest problem will be keeping your Savage's front wheels down! That battery setup is capable of 1200watts continuous, no problems there!

That is the same that was recommended to me (kinda), i'm going to use the 8000 mah, how much did you get your batts for? Also, i don't see any probs with the motor your using, it's better than the one i have, so you should be fine.

2 x 3S2P 6000mah was $240 with thrown in hyperion taps and y harness for series operation

155 for Hyperion EOS7i charger and LBA6 balancer.

free shipping.

doing the same with the FMA balance HD batts and charger is just too damn expensive...i don't care about the sophisticated charging system...from what I've read there's more than enough sophistication in the Hyperion charger to reliably charge your battery properly every time.
