Contemplating Dual Brushless - 07.22.2006, 03:40 PM

As the above title suggests. I'm seriously thinking about it. Another 9920 and another 9XL. Right now they both run at like 150+ after 5mins of mid throttle racing. Has anyone had good experience doing this and only using 2 battery packs?

Anyone who says get a lehner, look at the price of a 9XL and a 9920, its cheaper than a 1950!

What gearing are you running? Also what batteries are you using? I assume that 150 is degs in fahrenheit. That is a little hot. There is a sticky that Batfish put out on temps that might do you some good. A far as your question on the dual setup, I have not tried it yet. Are you trying to get the temps down or more speed with the 2 motors?

Edit: I tried putting in a link to the sticky but I do'nt know how to do that yet. Sorry i gues that you will have to do a search on your own.

Here you go. :)

As to the orginal post; someone on here does use dual BL motors and IIRC, it runs really fast, but runtime is poor.

Well if both are hot, I dunno what to do.

I was possibly gonna go lipo aswell, maybe some 8000 packs. Only has to last 5mins anyway.

Kinda going for both. Batteries are 14 Sanyo 3600's. Gearing is 16/51.

go4gold, All you have to do is go up to the address bar and highlight the whole thing, then copy it (it being the link you want to post), then simply click on the little earth looking think with a chain on the bottom of it. Then just paste the link you copied into it. After you hit ok, it will automatically put it in there for you. If you want to do what Brian did, you can simply type what you want there because when you hit ok, it will put it in there with a certain part of it highlighted. That is the text that shows up. If you need any more help, just ask :).

Thanks Squeeforever. .WhenI first tried it. it put the whole URL in which was long and not just one word like "here or try"I will play with it some more. I didn't want to start a whole thread for some silly sort of question. Aparently I would rather hijack sDarren's thread.

What Squee explained is probably the right way, but I just typed the code:

[URL="http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2200"]Here[/URL]

What you did was:

[URL="http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2200"]http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2200[/URL]

See the difference?

Anyway, back to the topic...
