Chances are the 4 wires are the balancer wires (and should have a connector on the end). These wires are much smaller gauge than the main ones. Since you have 4 wires, you must have a 3s pack? These wires are for balancing the pack, which is a whole different topic...

What Brian said, unless you are talking about one of the Tanic 30C packs. Those usually come with two "+" wires and two "-" wires so that you can dedicate a single deans to each pole.
