A noticable increase in power. The 3.3 has more bottom & top end than the 2.5 .

Yep, more power..
And it uses the 'new' 3.3 shafts, and the only difference is that the 'outputcup' changed slightly so it fits the new T-maxx 3.3 bulkheads. So nothing fancy changed.
So you get a more powerfull motor and a slightly longer wheelbase.

The 3.3 is extended in the front, so it pushes the steering servo(s) further back, forcing you to use longer steering linkages.

Depends, if you go gorilla the 2.5 is better, because you get the proper linkage with 2.5 chassis. If you use stocker chassis the 3.3 is better, because you need that inch of wheelbase

3.3 is better. Especially with brushless, the extra wheelbase helps tame the wheelies a bit :).

In your case the 3.3 would be best

To put a 3.3 chassis on a 2.5, you need longer steering links (or just one if you're using one steering servo) and a longer center-front slider shaft.

I'll second that. You can find 3.3 rollers fairly easy theses days.
