FLM steering linkage-help - 12.24.2007, 07:17 PM

I guess it is time to upgrade my steering linkage. I am putting a FLM chassis on my E-Maxx and just found out that the OE chassis has 2 plastic posts that the FLM chassis doesn't. This seems noobish, but what do I do? If the answer is upgrade, what linkage do you recommend?

Thanks,

Mark

you can get proline steering of the ebay or UE steering. but if i remmember correctly FLM chassis comes with two spacers to be used with the steering and they work like those plastic posts on the original chassis.

wallots exactly right - the two round alum tubes that came with the chassis replace the stock plastic strg spacers.

I used a alum set of arms made by powerline. The plastic bellcrank on the proline set has a reputation for cracking and not lasting. This is the set I used on mine -

If you can hold your breath a little bit longer, wait for the new e-maxx to become less rare..

They use a cam-shaft type of saver too, and it will cost ~10-15 bucks.

Since I have been down for so long I will run OE until it breaks and then see how the 3905 linkage has held up. Thanks everybody.
