e-revo having some issues

Hey all. I recently got my first conversion running, revo 3.3 with rc-monster mount, feigao 8XL, quark 125, and 4s 5000 maxamps.

I'm having a very difficult time with the slipper, and the spur. I keep stripping spurs because the mesh won't stay locked down. A few minutes running great and the mesh gets loose and eats the spur. The other issue is the slipper. I have to tighten it to completely locked to keep it from loosening during running. I get about 5 minutes that way before it loosens back up and I have to stop and tighten it again.

Any suggestions for a better slipper setup ? There's not enough length on the shaft to fit a proper spring, just those silly little spring washers. I like the slipper setup, I just wish I could get it to stay in adjustment. I'm going to try some screws with larger heads and lock washers to see if I can keep the motor from slipping back away from the spur during running.

Try locktighting the motor screws perhaps? Do em up tighter? I don't like the latter though I'm always afraid I'll strip the motor can :P

Also re: the slipper, how long had you been running nitro? If it was very worn to start with it may not have been able the hand the raw power of brushless from the get go - but some new pads could breathe a bit of life into it.

Put a little blue lock-tire on the motor screws to keep them from self-loosening.

About the slipper: you can tighten it more, but not too much or you'll bust the pad mounts (experience talking here).

The slipper is new. I have two, one that came used on my roller, and one that was on a new tranny I bought. I'm using the new one at the moment, so no use on it at all.

I'm more concerned with the slipper than the motor mount at present. I'm sure with loctite and some sort of washer I can prevent it from moving, but this stupid slipper, sheesh. I literally have to tighten it every few minutes during running. I've run it just about as tight as I can get it, which I don't like as it doesn't slip at all under stress. At least, not until it comes loose and does nothing but slip.

eh. I will try a new locknut, but I don't think that's the problem. Some loctite will probably help the situation. The shaft, nut, and slipper were all new when I did the install. I've run probably 2 packs through it.

Think this is relevant ? I'm using the hardened steel 5mm bore Mod1 pinion from RC-Monster, and running stock Mod1 revo spurs.
