My e-revo project #1 - 02.29.2008, 10:37 PM

well my first e-revo project is starting to take shape. I have the gorillamaxx G2R . My second roller is in the mail along with a ton of other parts i have just purchased to pretty much complete both . the second is the custom chassis I'm working on . I ordered some traxxas chassis braces and some aluminum standoffs. I have a few plans rolling around in my head. Once the parts and second chassis gets here things should start moving along much faster !! I also have an MM on the way and already recieved my RC-monster motor mount "work of art by the way !! " And a 9XL !! Mod1 pinion is also in the mail . So, hopefully withen a week all will be here and I can get down to business !!!! Heres a couple pics of progress so far. I am planning on using a revo tranny if at all possible for the G2R chassis as well . will see how that one works out lol . Jerry

I was wondering what shocks those were . They were on the chassis when I bought it, as well as another full set of aluminum shocks and lightweight red pushrods and aluminum rockers .It was quite the deal. Anyone looking for a roller should look for a RTR instead . I paid 300 for mine, and sold off the motor ,radio gear, and some extra parts back on ebay and made back 192.50 . So a roller with hop-ups for 107.50 !!! Not too bad . Jerry

I don't think those are GTR shocks. I can't remember who makes em right off hand, though.

The traxxas shocks have a cap on the bottom, these do not. I dont think there from traxxas . Traxxas shock on the left .

Well, project 1 is comming along nicely !! I did pick up an emaxx tranny to get it going but hopefull will get the revo tranny to work eventually. It's harder to work on #2 since I have to do the chassis work at my job but I did recieve the second roller and will get going on it monday !!! . More to come !!

I'm gonna try my best !!! I have some 1/4 thick aluminum flat stock to make spacers . I think the tranny needs to come up a little . Then there will be the problem of making the motor fit . I'll keep you updated !

yea, I was pretty happy. I actually outbid someone else on this board but didnt know it till a couple weeks later . Felt kinda bad. Had I know, I wouldnt have bid against him . Anyhow, it is a really sweet chassis !!! I'm working on my own homebrew one also but it may take a little while longer then this one.
