How much better is MM motor vs. Feigao? - 03.06.2008, 06:38 PM

Looking for some opinons here....

I just got one of these off ebay for $92.
http://www.cenracing.com/censports/me16ry.html
Its really just something to goof off with and I dont really expect much out of it, but... They call it a 1/16th mini, but now that I see it in real life, it really isnt very mini at all. Its just about exactly 4lbs out of the box RTR with stick pack. Thats heavier than 1/10 race vehicles. Anyway it takes regular size electronincs, so 540 size motor and regular size servo. The whole thing feels pretty beefy to so it should take some abuse, metel diff gears and drive shafts so it should withstand the brushless power OK too. (I hope)

Anyway... the point of the post is, I have a sidewinder ESC here that I am planning to use and I need a motor for it... I am trying to decide between the MM 4600 or the Feigao 540-8s (4436kv). The MM is around $75 (with 25%off sale) and the Feigao is $49. Is the MM worth 50% more?

I am planning to run it just on 2s 90% of the time, but throw 3s in it just to laugh at it once in a while.

What do you guys think? Looking for some opinions for someone with experience with the MM motors. I have never actually owned one of the motors. Just the MM ESC.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Silent...But Deadly
