Anyone have a picture of what the pinion adapter looks like. Is it the gear itself, or an adapter the stock gear fits on. Is there gearing options available for these or is the stock pinion the only option. Is it Mod1 or something bigger?
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
dear dear...what will become of the internal combustion engine with these electric conversions about. when i had my rustler 2.5 i was bashing round with a guy that had a 1/5 Baja. you heard the thing before you saw it. that thing hauled. doesnt suprise me that you converted to electric. i too am looking into a 1/5 MT after my revo is 100% converted. if the torque is more than the IC motor then i am not at all suprised it sqeals the tyres and gets to terminal speed quicker. electric is the future. nice work.
Removed the political parts. Every opinion matters, but i don't think this is the place to vent your opinions in this matter. This will be a discussion that will never end and will result in enemies instead of friends. It's so much easier to offend a person than the please one. You are not exactly a saint either.
I would appreciate it if you guys have used PM to get into discussion, but a discussion seems to be less interesting if there is no audience involved.
Sorry for bringing it this way, but this thread is about the baja conversion. you personal opinion regarding the war, whether it's true or false, doesn't have to be in this thread.
I'm fine with that... no one wants to hear it anyways.

Wow, that thing is a monster. Great job fearandloathing. Its good to see you have a chance to do some bashing over in Iraq. My electronic setup is almost exactly like yours. I don't want to hi-jack your thread but I just want to compare setups. I am running a 2215/3Y in an OFNA ultra GTP (10 lbs ready to go) on 8s with a HV-110 and I have gotten it up to 83mph. I am going to try 12s soon. Your project has given me inspiration to push the envelope! Great design and have fun with the car! (click on the pictures for full rez)
