Bidproduct C50 9XL.

The only difference in terms of looks between this clone and a real Hacker C50 XL motor are the absense of 5 screws that hold on the front endbell, and the colored wires. This motor uses a screwed on front endbell like the finned feigao motors. No biggie, just have a tube of loctite of JB weld handy :)

The red motor is my toasted HobbyCity 9XL for comparison.

I will give this thing a thorough workout when the weather clears up, and we'll see if its worth the $50 I paid for it, compared to a $350 true Hacker.

Inclement weather is NO excuse for not testing something! Don't you or someone you know have a basement or garage?

Do you have a real Hacker to test it against? It would probably be better to compare to a Feigao as well, just to see where it falls in comparison...

Basement? We dont have those over here, well, very rarely, and nothing large enough to be any use for testing an MT really. I could run it around the carpark I suppose, if I was gentle on the throttle, but it is still pouring with rain outside, and you know I have most of the bed cut out from my truck's shell too (let in the rain directly onto the MMM).

I cant compare this to a a real hacker (unless someone want so buy me one, lol), but I can compare it to that hobbyshitty 9XL, and the hvmaxx I had. Think I will drop the gearing a touch though from the 24/62 I was running.

Oh yes, 99% of what they sell if great, its just their own brand 'feigaos knock-offs' that should be avoided.

I shall indeed do a thorough test and review, and post results (given my heavier than most rig, it should be a good test that offers some headroom to other users in terms of their setups).

Just have to wait for the rain to stop, gah...

This is the same motor lutach and I tested. Although lutach was unlucky and gets the 1/8 shaft by mistake of the seller. here is the link Alternative motor

This motor is good but it is also like feigao that easily gets hot. Hopefully Neil will gets some good runs but not the heat issues.

Yeah, thats why I bought it really.

Feigaos are a bit naff, but going by most people, they are pretty good compared to the hobbycity versions, so hopefully these clones will turn out to be fairly good too. Even if it does grenade or melt, its still no great loss- just killing time, waiting for the 70mm Medusas.
