well...
now that I bought the MMM (preorder) $170
It burnt out two servos $40
I bought the MM as a back up $120
Along with a UBEC $25
and a fan $10

I feel I spent close to what I would have if I had gone MGM

my only saving grace is that I know Castle has my back. MGM seems to replace most, but they seem to be a bit more picky with their replacement policy.

With all the time my truck has been sitting here collecting dust with over $2K invested.....I'm thinking I should have gone with the TMM 25035-3 Car / Boat E-SERIES. Good for upto 8s 250-300A. I only run 6s, so it should handle my set-up with ease.

I used a "bottom" line.

The MGM is expensive compared to the MMM, and it's commendable that so many on here are so patriotic to an American company. I just decided it was worth the extra to have a truggy that was up and running reliably rather than sit and look at something waiting on the next promise on delivery and reliability.
I hope whatever you do you get sorted and are soon back out there having fun.
How long have you been running hte TP EXtreme V2 batteries? How are you liking them?

I just had another v2 fail...1515 1Y on 4S MaxAmps 8000MAH in an e-revo geared 22/58 with a UBEC. ran for ten minutes and just quit. Amber light was really dim and flickering.. Could disco batteries for a few and power it back up, but as soon as you hit the throttle, it would quit. Something smoked as you could smell it.
Just happened to be running an Eagletree V3 and can say that all levels were pretty much in line. Max Amp draw was 95 Amps. Voltage never dropped below about 14.5V. Motor RPM I think peaked out around 34K. Temps were all negligible.

Hey JaySki,

I had a similar problem where when I hit the throttle the LED lights were dimming. It turned out it was my Lipo cutoff setting. I manually had it set to like 12.5 on 4s and I had that problem (even with brand new fresh batteries). I just set it to "auto" and it fixed the problem. Dont know if this will work for you. I heard sometimes restoring to factory defaults help too.

Has anyone heard about the software update for V3? I heard from Castle that a big part of the failures was due, in part, to software. They had said that the newest version would be released this week. I have an unused V2 that I am waiting to use once it gets the updated firmware. (I was soooo tempted to throw it in my E-Revo this past weekend and run it without the updated software, but I managed to resist!)

Has anyone heard anything more about the release of this new firmware?

I beg to differ on that one, most people on here are capable of making an informed decision on whether or not they choose to use their MMM's. From people posting their experiences on this forum at least they can decide if, with their intended set up, they're likely to experience problems. If you know your only going to be running a conservative set up you'll probably run your MMM and update it as and when it's available.
If you know your planning to run a set up which people have experienced problems with you may decide to hang back and wait for the update before using it.
Personally I chose not to wait and went with MGM, but despite the problems one of the things that is apparent from this thread is that there are a lot of people who have faith in CC to resolve the issues and provide them with a good product at a reasonable price. When the issues are finally resolved there's a fair chance I shall buy one as it will be interesting to see how they compare with what I'm running now.

I say chance it!! Dude, throw that thing in the Revo and hope for the best I've been running my V2 for months now on 6s. Unlike Phatmonk though my fan is dead. Well, that and I don't pee in my gas tank
