4 more years for me. I feel 50+ though and have since my early twenties when a car decided to not stop at a red light and hit me doing 60 mph.

So if feeling 40+ counts I'm in! ha!

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

42 years young but I still feel like in my twenties especially when I outrun 20-something year old sailors on our 1.5 mile run.

Ok well I guess I qualify for this one. I just turned 50, but that is just too hard for me to believe. Being involved in this hobby does help to ease the pains somewhat. We have 8 kids total but it is only the younger ones that give us a hard time about being old. We have two grandkids already, but we still have more fun then any of them. Haven't you heard that 50 is the new 39?? Hey lincpimp you are too young to be in here looking around. Your ID is not good in here young man, so stay out of it.

Two days ago I got carded buying a lottery ticket! You have to be 21 to buy and I am 46! I told the 20 something year old babe that asked me that I loved her and that she had just made my year. You are only as old as you feel. I plan on going down fighting. Geez I am still playing with toy trucks .

Most gas stations require you to show ID no matter what. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Not bursting yet. It was a small local grocery store and she did not card the two people in line in front of me!

Im 37, with all the bones I broke skateboarding and mountain biking I feel about 62 when winter hits or rains coming lol. I was in the supermarket buying smokes (yeah yeah) and the lady carded me. I was like are you serious im twice the age to buy these cancer sticks, the guy behind me said I should be flattered. I said sure if i didnt have to go back out to my car and get my ID in a freezing snow storm. I can't get no respect

I hit the big FOUR-O last August.

To all the younger guys...

Stupid shit that you do as a teenager and in your 20's, will catch up to you! When I hit 30 I started falling apart, manly it was my back. So two back surgeries later I started acting like I was no longer a teenager. 40 has been ok so far....except my perfect vision isnt so perfect any more. Now im having to use reading glasses.

Has anybody in the 40+ club noticed that your vision is starting to go south?

So far my vision is still great except when I'm driving at night. I seem to be more affected by the glare of oncoming headlights .

Bingo. - 02.27.2009, 09:45 PM

WE HAVE A BINGO. Yea I started having to wear reading glasses shortly after I started into this hobby, because I was having a hard time seeing the tiny screws during installation. I have had 20/20 all my life up to now. That sucks. In my mid 40's I noticed that I am loosing muscle tone and just cannot do all of the same stuff that I was able to do before. Luckily for me I have never had any broken bones or major injuries that can plague me now. I keep telling myself that I need to start working out, but just cannot seem to get myself to actually do it. I am truely spoiled with the comfortable life that we live. I am loving life though. I have two pensions coming in and really do not have to work anymore. Even with the economy going into the toilet I can still get whatever I want without worrying wheather we can afford it or not. So life is good at 50.
