My 2cents,
I'm really partial to the JR 9000T & the DS8711, I also have a few Hitek Robot servo's that have served very well as with the 7955's. They are all great servos.
Do yourself the favor and spend at least 100.00 or so and get the highest qaulity strongest servo you can for your money. It is a serious investment yes but a wise investment. You cannot substitute and so-so servo over a qaulity servo in a demanding application. With the extra money spent you'll also be getting a company that will stand behind their product and usaully warentee with no questions asked for up to 3yrs !
You'll also thank yourself for getting a badassed servo w/300+oz of torque after you wheel it around a few minutes. You will be saying to yourself, "my god this servo is awesome".

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

I got a servo from hobbypartz. It was ment to be one to get me by but it was what I thought a "slight" upgrade from my current JR servo. The thing is great! I got it for about $14 and its awesome, it'd be a great item to get for any 1/10 racer. I'd say the best servo i've ever had. I'll get a part number for you guys.

I could never justify the cost of a good servo until I got a truggy! I was always happy with the performance of the stock setup on my Maxx and Revo, so I thought! When I built my RC8T I looked around and asked and decided to splurge on the Hitec 7955TG. I paid $115 from the RC-Monster store but it was $115 well spent. I am so impressed with the performance of this servo I had a hard time adjusting back to the stock setup on my Revo even to just go bash with it. Super quick and doesn't matter what terrain your on, it turns the wheels lock to lock no problem. I will agree that it's a bit noisy when centered but when my truck is running around I don't hear that and I don't care.

I've had the hitec 5955TG in my truggy for nearly 2 years and I'm pretty happy with it, huge difference over stock servo's. A lot of guys I race with also use that servo, and I've recently put the 7955TG in my buggy. They do make a bit of a buzzing noise when sitting slightly off center, but I didn't put it in my car just so it can sit on the bench.

I just picked up 4 of these to try out. I installed 2 in my Summit and they are doing great right now. Big improvement over stock ones. They are stronger and quicker and waterproof. The price tag is nice as well.

I'll install the other 2 in my 3905 when I get one.
