G2R race truck - 02.03.2006, 03:55 AM

I'm almost finished with my G2R truck. This was originally going to be a project truck but I've decided to focus on this truck specifically for racing.
The truck utilizes the 2 speed automatic tmaxx forward only transmission with a modified emaxx motor mount. The only stock Revo parts left on this truck are the f/r diffs, rear center drive shaft, bulkheads, body posts and bumpers. I decided not to use the stock g2 chassis plate because I wanted a little additional protection for my Lipo batteries. I used the g2 plate as a template and bent the sides up of the modified plate for rigidity and battery protection. I am using a Lehner 1950/7 with a 9920 and 6s Lipo. I am currently working through an issue with the signal from the receiver to the esc due to the Lipo DPM, but I believe I'll have a resolution fairly soon. I'll mount a micro servo behind the motor for the brakes.

I am also working on a center diff for the tmaxx tranny. The center diff is a work in progress but is definetly do-able.

Here's some pics

I haven't had a chance to run the truck outside yet because it hasn't seemed to stopped raining in weeks. However, from what I've seen on the work bech, the lehner 1950 is a beast of a motor.
