I also add Feigao power ratings, but that was kinda fudged. I took the data from Feigao's datasheet. I figured an arbitrary 35k rpm max speed and divided that by the kv (to get voltage), multiplied that by their "max amps" figure, and then rounded up to the nearest 100w. It's not perfect, but it should be fairly close. And the power figures work for all winds of a particular series (S, L, XL) so good enuff!

Bustitup: No, wouldn't want any warnings. But the mods here aren't post nazis, so I don't think I have to worry. Besides, if anyone got warnings, it would be lincpimp.
My name shows up in every thread one way or another...

I do like the additions to the speed calc page, probably the best thing you have (ever) done Brian.

Haven't updated program in long-long time, but still can be helpful. Motocalc sample file, can be updated from motocalc website.

It is a good thing that you start adding power ratings to your calculator, but you cannot draw max amps at top efficiency (~35k).

Brian - Any thought to creating a tire size list for the calc?

Arct1k:
Yeah, I can add that, but only if I can get a large enough sample to be useful. I would need:

- tire model name
- scale used on (8th, 10th, etc)
- outer diameter

If I can get the data for 5-10 tires, I'll add it. Just reply to this thread with the details.

A lot of times, people say an idea would be good, but then don't provide the data I need, so the idea gets scrapped.

Artur:
The link to the program has issues: First, the forum is in a language I don't understand and it requires me to login. Do you have a different link to it?

I understand that. The power rating is just there for the data table page really. The calc doesn't do anything with this number since the current drawn is an arbitrary figure, therefore meaningless.

Trying to resolve issues, apparently something happen to original files... You not suppose to have any problems and foreign characters :)

Criminy! You must have some time on your hands, eh? I guess the saying is ture; "ask and ye shall receive".

Hmm, I think I'm gonna have to take a "break" at work to do code and data addition. I was getting a little tired of working on ASP stuff for now anyway.

Nice job brian. The new additions will definitely come in handy. Thanks again for making your speed calc. Its helped me more than a few times already.

Arct1k, nice work on the tire list.

There's two sides to every schwartz, he got the up side and I got the down side.

Arct1k: No, and if I did, I would have found a way to have someone I know win and split it with me. Even when I worked as the Ops Mgr for the Lottery vendor (with direct access and responsibility for the transaction servers), there are too many safeguards to cheat it. Now that I'm working directly at the Lottery, I don't have access to any of that stuff anymore.

Thanks rschoi, glad it helped.

Additions will have to wait a while... time for lunch!

OK, tiresize drop-down box added to the Top Speed Estimator. Let me know if anything else got broken with this update - you guys get to be beta testers.
