how would this ten-t SCT conversion run on 2s? My club is having an "open" class but is keeping the battery limit to 2s to keep out the 1/8 buggys with a SCT body. This little car seems to weigh as much as my 808. Doesnt seem like it would be a 2s option.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Yes... but with conservative gearing you will have limited motor choices. You will need something along the lines of a Medusa 50mm in the 3000-4800kv range to be effective with only 2s lipo due to the size. Most standard 1/10 stuff won't hold up iMO, even w/ a lightened load.

For 2s a lot of people run the novak hv's. I have a 6.5 in my jammin for an indoor track and I have heard 4.5's work great for 8th scale size tracks.

As for the weight I am curious to know what the sct converted one weights. Think the tires have to be lighter then the truggy style ones that come with the truck. Also going to 2s and a smaller motor should save some weight. Probably only a little heavier then the ofna/jammin 4x4's.

, ordered my kit last night! I am just not sure what motor to put in. I have a 1900kv tekin motor, or a 2200kv castle system.

Isn't adding all this weight with big motors and the corresponding battery weight going to add uneeded strain to a relatively small truck? I would think something like the MMp with a 1509, or Medusa 50-60 with some smaller 3000 4s setup would be better for this weight and style of vehicle. ( I don't know, I see 1515 and think 10lb plus vehicles :D )

I run the HV 4.5 in my Slash 4x on 2-3s and it does pretty good geared 12/54, with these same tires. IMO it would work with this, if it wasn't to heavy, was their ever a weight given on the truck once conversion was done? My Slash is a hair over 5lbs RTR.

"My Slash is a hair over 5lbs RTR."

I think with the components you list, your Slash is heavier than you think. The Ten T with a 4s 4200mah pack is about a pound heavier than my Slash 4x4 with a 2s 5000mah hard case pack(Slash comes in at 5lbs 14 oz RTR and is over 5lbs without a battery). This is in RTR form with the stock setup on the Slash 4 X 4 Platinum and the Tekin buggy combo and a 4s 4200mah 35c pack on the Ten T. The Slash has FLM suspension arms(total 1 oz than stock arms) and cvds(no other hop-up). I would guess the trucks would be within 1/2 pound or less of each other with similar components.

Thanks for that info. That's really not to heavy.
I hadn't realised I shaved that much weight from my Slash. It was 4lbs 8 oz rtr with a HV4.5, and Xerun 80a, no battery.

BTW Maybe I should clarify, that is my ST Slash, as pictured in post 285, with cut down bumpers, no rear body mount, shortened front mount, and a Crowd Pleazer body, IOW the one that is setup 10-T style :D It was weighed with a digital fish scale.
