Ultra light bl buggy project

Well like the title says I'm building a brushless buggy and my focus of the build is less weight as possible. I decided to go with a LOSI 8ight 2.0B for the build. This is what I got so far:

Just kidding, love this projects which start with lots of packaged parts

Do you have any lightweight parts? It looks like the stuff you have is all standard brushless stuff.

I'm anxious to see how much you'll manage to take off. You have to have decals made for the body that say: Losi w8t loss.

Question: The CC conversion kit was developed for the 8ight 1.0, but i know theres not much difference in the 1.0 and 2.0 chassis. This will still work?

Losi 8ight™ Kit - will convert VERSION 1 AND 2 (up to the current model, buggy only)

CF Chassis
CF F/R Shock Towers
Lunsford Racing: Turnbuckles, Hinge Pins, Shock Mounts, Shock Screws, Retainer Screws and a special order of screws also. No steel screws or steel nuts are going to be in this project.
Ti rod end balls
Acer Bearing Kit

Parts to come are modified CF parts to replace parts from the Castle Conversion Kit.

I've been studying hard this week for college but will be posting up pics very soon.

Thanks for helping me find your thread on my threadbut I plan to race with my buggy and the weight your claiming would not be allowed to race at my local track. Right now I'm at 3648 grams with 2x 8000mah 22c. I still have about 4 special made modsand another 4 pack of 2s 4500mah 45c that I'm waiting for to get closer to the 3200 gram minimum allowed by ROAR which my local track goes by for 1/8 scale buggy's

Minimum weight limits make me laugh- someone should tell roar that this aint F1 for pete's sake...

I don't see the point in minimum weights for model cars either, but a thin sheet of lead on the chassis of JSRs underweight buggy to bring it up to the minimum weight would make for an Uber low CoG and a kick arse race car.

In my opinion minimum weights suck, but aren't all that bad for the people having to add weights.

When you add weights, you can add them specifically to certain areas so in a way it adds a tuning option the other guys don't have.

Back end bouncing around too much? Shift the ballast weight back.

Stuff like that.
