Thats cause they are so easily made fun of with their ridiculous pricing and marketing scheme. As seen below...

I forgot about them being 60C lipos... Maybe Hyperion should advertise at 90C rates That should boost sales. O wait, they already sell good since they are priced right for the quality delivered! Shocking!

Someone said the Hyperion is only making packs in the 5000 mah range. They said it`s due to restriction of shipping packs over that size.
It was in a post on the Traxxas board

I just went and checked Neu's site, and they have the SP2 rated at 46/92, and the SP's rated at 40/80. Funny though, the SP2's are cheaper than the SP's. The best buys they have are on the XP's. It does appear that Lipo pricing is noticably coming down.

Interesting thought. Depends how the cells are connected together, might be hard to seperate them if they are joined via their tabs or glued together well.

That's true, if it's anything like their last gen Enerland packs, it will be a handful. They use some kind of cold solder high pressure crimping technique that looks pretty tricky to get apart, if not impossible. I have 3 6s 4300 enerland based packs to split to 3s packs.

Once my battery supplies arrive I will start dissecting them. (balance leads, shrink, etc)

BTW, If anyone has bought a 45C pack yet, LET US KNOW HOW THEY PERFORM!

I meant the 45C packs plettenbergs. Why wouldn't you get the EX 45C packs I am wondering? Only ~10% higher cost over 35C.

I ran a single 6s 4200 35C pack all racing/bashing season last year, still performs 100%.

I have 45C 5S 4200mah hyperion pack on the way. Will let you know how it compares against 35C pack (though only 3300mah)

No way! Tell me how that makes any sense? Seriously, we all know a 6s 3000mah is just a hazardous as a 3s 6000mah... is that what they are saying? This is beyond retarded if I understand what's going on. I am lucky I run a 6s setup, only need max 4000mah, otherwise I would be running 6000+ with a 4s pack. So what brands does this apply to? Where are these rules coming from?

Wallot, good to hear, and do let us know. Do a cell check before you use it, and do a couple soft cycles on your charger before you use them, and then go easy on them for the first 10 cycles at least in your R/C. Should get some serious power out of them after that.

There are restrictions on the amount of lithium that can be in a battery - This s approximated into Whr on a pack so a function of capacity and voltage - hence 6s 3k and 3s 6k would be the same w/hr...

Yeah, still how does that make any sense if they limit Ah? They sell a 12s 4500mah pack, does that make it less hazardous? Is there both an Ah and Wh limit?
