Well I have a update! I have received my RC-Monster mount Came in lightning time. Happy with that shipping was alot for something that weighs ounces. I have added the brake servo for the mechanical brake. I will post pics when I figure it out. My next question is? I looking for top speed. I saw on ebay A new monster mamba for around 250.00 for the 2200kv set up. Or should I go for a 1600kv to 1700kv. for a 6 cell battery that I currently own. I found a losi xcelorin 2100kv set up for around 225.00.

IMO stay away from the Losi set up...to many probs. on 6s a 1600 motor would do nicely w/a mmm esc. The 2200 motor you mentioned above on 6s would be stupid fast. I had the 2200combo on 5s in my truggy and it was too fast so I went w/the new castle motor...1520 and it is perfect

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

Thanks magman for prompt response! I should have said 4 cells on the mamba monster 2200kv set up. I know you said that 5 cells was too fast on the 2200kv set up on yours. My question is? would the 2200kv set be OK to try on 5 or 6 cells with hurting the motor or esc? Thanks again

+1 stay away from the Xcelorin

If you plan on 4s, go with the 2200.

If you go with 5s/6s the 1518 or 1520 would be better choices.

I have the same set up on my brushless Lightning. If I remember correctly? All I did was add rear shock stand offs that were made for the lightning and I think longer bolts to go through them. And 4 more Lightning shocks. I did not have to change the towers for sure. Hope that Helps.

I used Ofna part # 36507 CNC'd shock stand offs and longer bolts with stock towers. Thats it !

I using Sportwerks Rear Buggy shocks in all 4 corners as well.

I've recently redid the layout and installed a Castle 1520 and built my own Battery tray/ESC mount from Kydex

Thanks sooo much for the info...I have been trying to get rid of the LSP on RC Universe but no bites (trying to fund a Brusless Revo) so I might just go and tackle the conversion for my LSP...yours looks GREAT...you did a fine job. I was thinking about going with Teckno's conversion kit for the HB D8T and maybe change the center diff which I think needs to be done as well as the shocks...The F & R diffs seem to be the same...the covers that is! Also, I might just have to change the suspension arms on her since I like the screw type holders instead of the damn E-Clips...I just wish I could get a trade on this to a Revo (don't know why I like the Revos so, who knows) but would like to do something before the weather gets better....

BTW...will the Ofna Shock Standoffs work with the factory tower from HB...your's look different?
